Description

The Odina is an 82mm fixed round downlight cast from die-cast aluminium with a black powder-coated finish and a low 6mm projection from the ceiling plane. The fitting houses a single GU10 lamp holder (bulb sold separately) and accepts any GU10 LED up to 10W, including dimmable variants when paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

Designed for residential, hospitality and light commercial installation, the Odina requires a 72mm ceiling cut-out and a minimum 70mm ceiling void depth above the plasterboard. The fixed bezel directs light straight downward, making it suitable for general room lighting, hallways, utility spaces and areas where task lighting is needed directly below the fitting. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations only.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides heat dissipation for the lamp and structural rigidity during installation. The black finish sits flush with the ceiling once installed, with the curved edge design softening the transition between fitting and ceiling plane. The Class I earthing requires a standard mains earth connection during installation. Knightsbridge produces this fitting in a white finish variant and in squared-edge versions under the same Odina range.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

A minimum 70mm void depth above the plasterboard is required to house the lamp holder and GU10 bulb. The 72mm cut-out diameter accommodates the body of the fitting, with the 82mm bezel sitting proud by 6mm once installed.

Is the Odina dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb fitted. The downlight itself has no electronic components — dimmability is determined by the bulb specification and the dimmer switch used. Pair with a dimmable GU10 LED and a compatible LED dimmer for dimming functionality.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means it is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry indoor locations. For bathroom installation, a minimum IP44 or IP65 rated fitting is required depending on zone placement.

Is the bezel fixed or can it tilt?

This is the fixed version — the bezel does not tilt and directs light straight downward. Knightsbridge produces a tiltable variant within the Odina range for directional lighting applications.
