Description

The Octavia is a 65cm crystal chandelier built on nine curving polished chrome arms, each arm carrying multiple precision-cut crystal droplets suspended on chrome pins. Nine G4 capsule bulbs (included) sit within the crystal clusters, casting light through the faceted glass to create scattered reflections across walls and ceilings. The chrome arms radiate from a central polished chrome canopy and rod, with the overall drop adjustable between 500mm and 820mm from ceiling to lowest crystal.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Octavia provides both ambient light and decorative presence. The 65cm diameter fits comfortably over dining tables between 1.4m and 1.8m in length, or centrally in foyers and hallways up to 4m wide. The fitting requires a trailing-edge dimmer for dimming control and is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 bulbs — only halogen G4 capsules work reliably with the dimmer circuit.

The polished chrome finish on the arms and canopy provides a high-reflectivity surface that mirrors the crystal facets and amplifies the light scatter effect. The crystals themselves are precision-cut octagonal droplets in smoke-toned glass, which diffuses warm halogen light while retaining sparkle. The combined weight of 6.2kg requires a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor for safe installation, and the adjustable drop allows the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table depending on room proportions.

The 65cm diameter works well over dining tables between 1.4m and 1.8m in length. For larger tables (2m+), consider a chandelier with a 70-80cm diameter or multiple pendants. The chandelier should sit 700-900mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.6m.

How is the drop adjusted?

The adjustable rod allows the total drop to be set anywhere between 500mm and 820mm during installation. Excess rod and cable are concealed within the ceiling canopy once the desired height is locked in.
