Description
The NovaLux is a 2-light wall fitting with two adjustable arms extending from a satin gold metal backplate, each terminating in a clear blown glass globe housing a G4 bulb (sold separately). The arms pivot independently at their mounting points, allowing each light head to be angled up, down, or outward depending on whether the fitting is being used for ambient light, task reading light, or directed accent lighting.
Designed for bedside positions, hallway accent lighting, and living room feature walls, the NovaLux works in spaces where adjustable light direction adds function beyond fixed wall sconces. The 380mm length and 270mm projection suit walls with clearance for furniture underneath — typical bedside mounting height is 1.2-1.5m above floor level, which places the light heads 300-400mm above a typical mattress height for reading without glare.
The satin gold finish on the metal frame provides a brushed low-sheen surface that softens reflections compared to polished brass, pairing comfortably with both warm-toned traditional interiors and contemporary neutral schemes. The clear blown glass globes show slight variation in thickness and bubble texture between individual pieces, a characteristic of the hand-blown manufacturing process. Each G4 socket accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to the manufacturer's specified wattage.
The IP20 rating limits the NovaLux to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor use. The fitting mounts to a standard UK backplate and the arms adjust without tools once installed. From Ideal Lux, an Italian lighting manufacturer established in 1974.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the NovaLux take?
Each of the two arms takes a G4 capsule bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G4 LED capsules between 1.5-3W and 2700K-3000K for bedside reading or ambient light. Check the Specification tab for the maximum wattage rating.
Can the arms be adjusted after installation?
Yes. Both arms pivot at their mounting points on the backplate, allowing each light head to be angled independently. The adjustment happens by hand without needing tools, so the light direction can be changed whenever needed.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the NovaLux is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor positions where moisture is present.
What wall clearance is needed?
The fitting projects 270mm from the wall when the arms are positioned horizontally. Allow at least 300mm clearance from furniture or bed headboards to avoid the light heads being knocked when the arms are adjusted.
