Description

The NovaLite is a 20cm square LED wall or ceiling light with an integrated 11W 3000K LED behind an opal plastic diffuser, housed in a white powder-coated aluminium body. The fitting mounts either as a flush ceiling light or a wall light, using the same fixing points and electrical connection in both orientations.

Designed for hallways, bathrooms (outside shower zones), bedrooms and home offices, the NovaLite provides general ambient lighting from a compact footprint. The reflected light emission directs the LED output onto the back of the diffuser rather than straight through it, spreading light evenly across the 20cm square face without visible hotspots or glare. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations but not shower zones or outdoor use.

The powder-coated aluminium body resists corrosion better than painted steel and maintains its white finish under years of use. The 200mm square format fits ceiling or wall spaces where a circular fitting would look out of proportion, and the 200mm projection when wall-mounted keeps the fitting clear of door frames and cupboards. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The NovaLite carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It can be used in bathrooms outside shower zones (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2), typically on walls or ceilings more than 60cm from the edge of a shower or bath.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

What's the difference between ceiling and wall mounting?

The NovaLite uses the same fixing points and electrical connection for both ceiling and wall mounting. When mounted on a wall, the fitting projects 200mm from the surface. When flush-mounted on a ceiling, the projection is minimal.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable and should not be connected to a dimmer circuit, as this may cause flickering or damage to the LED driver.
