Description

The Niobe is a single-light crystal wall light with an integrated pull-cord switch, built around a French gold-finished backplate and curved arm. The arm supports a cone-shaped column wrapped in strands of Asfour crystal spheres, terminating in a crystal-edged cage at the top and a crystal pan beneath the E14 lampholder. The pull-cord switch extends from the base of the backplate, allowing the fitting to be controlled at the wall without needing a separate switched supply.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and landings where wall-controlled lighting is preferred over ceiling fittings, the Niobe combines ambient light from the exposed E14 bulb with decorative sparkle from the crystal spheres. The 260mm projection positions the bulb away from the wall, directing light forward and across the room rather than straight down. The French gold finish is a warm, slightly aged brass tone that sits comfortably in traditional and transitional interiors alongside dark wood furniture, warm neutrals and heritage colour schemes.

The crystal spheres are Asfour lead-free crystal, cut to catch and refract light when the bulb is on. The fitting accepts any E14 candle bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and is fully dimmable if paired with a dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The wall switch on the fitting itself is a pull-cord style with a brass-tone weight, operating a simple on/off rocker switch inside the backplate housing. The backplate measures 110mm wide and mounts to a standard UK wall box or direct to masonry with wall plugs and screws.
