Description

A black shade over clear crystal on polished chrome, this is a chandelier that keeps its sparkle gathered in one place rather than spread across a ceiling. It measures 35cm across, a manageable width for a room that wants some glitter overhead without a wide fitting taking over. Four candle lamps sit inside, each on an E14 socket, and the drop can be shortened or let out to suit the height of the room. The crystal is clear, so light breaks up as it passes through and scatters small bright points below the shade.

We would hang it over a small dining table, in a hallway with a little height to play with, or in a bedroom where something softer than a bare pendant is wanted. It suits anyone who likes the idea of a chandelier but does not want the ceiling given over to one. Candle lamps up to 20W each are fine, and dimmable ones will let you bring the level down over dinner, provided a compatible dimmer is in use. Keep it to dry rooms indoors: a landing or a sitting room rather than a shower room.

The frame is finished in polished chrome and the shade is black, a pairing that stays quiet by day and wakes up once the lamps are lit.
