Description

The Memory is a flush-mount ceiling light shaped like a tied party balloon, blown from glossy white glass with a small knotted finial at the base and a single pull-cord trailing down from the body. The 25cm diameter shade sits tight against the ceiling so the balloon appears to be floating up against it, and the fitting takes one standard E27 GLS or filament bulb (sold separately).

Designed primarily for children's bedrooms, nurseries and playrooms, the Memory also works in hallways, landings and any room where a low-profile fitting is needed under a lower ceiling. The flush mounting makes it suitable for ceiling heights from around 2.2m upwards, where a hanging pendant would feel cramped. The integrated pull cord switches the light on and off independently of the wall switch, useful at bedside height for a child's room.

The shade is hand-blown glass rather than plastic, giving the balloon a genuine weight and a deep glossy surface that catches light from the bulb inside. The 25cm size is the smallest in the Memory range, with 30cm and 35cm versions also available for larger rooms or grouped installations. White diffuses the bulb's output into a soft glow, while the same fitting in red, yellow, green or orange casts a tinted wash of colour into the room when lit.
