The Marvele 1 Light Mini Pendant is a compact hanging light that pairs an aged brass frame with a rounded shade of cased opal glass. The glass softens the light from a single bulb, spreading it gently rather than casting it in a sharp beam. It is a neat, unfussy design that reads as classic without leaning too far in any one direction, so it settles happily into both older homes and newer, plainer rooms.

This is an interior fitting, and its small footprint makes it a good fit where you want light without bulk. Hang one over a bedside table, a reading nook or a hallway, or run several in a row above a kitchen island or breakfast bar for even, repeated pools of light. The adjustable drop lets you set the height to suit the space, whether you need it tucked close to the ceiling or lowered over a work surface. Two pairs of rods are supplied so you can fine-tune the length.

The frame is made from steel with an aged brass finish, and the shade is cased opal glass. It takes one E14 bulb up to 40W, which is not included, so you can pick the brightness and colour temperature that suits the room; the fitting also works with dimmable lamps if you pair it with a compatible dimmer. It runs on mains voltage and is Class I, so it needs an earth connection and is best fitted by a qualified electrician. To clean, switch off, let any bulb cool, then wipe the glass and metal with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh sprays and abrasive cleaners, which can mark the finish over time.
