Description

The Malibu is a 335mm flush ceiling light with an opal etched glass dome shade set into a stepped polished chrome frame. The fitting takes two E27 bulbs (sold separately) housed inside the glass shade, which diffuses the light evenly across the ceiling plane and downwards into the room. The polished chrome frame consists of a 335mm diameter ceiling plate with a raised central boss and a lower chrome ring that secures the glass dome.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways, landings and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.4m, the Malibu carries an IP44 rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. This makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure). The 156mm overall height includes the ceiling plate and the glass dome, so the fitting projects approximately 150mm below the ceiling once installed on a standard UK ceiling rose.

The opal etched glass is a solid white translucent finish that softens the light output and hides the bulb filaments or LED elements from view, preventing glare when looking up at the ceiling. The polished chrome finish provides high reflectivity, bouncing ambient light around the room and pairing with chrome taps, towel rails and other bathroom fittings. The stepped frame design gives the fitting a defined architectural profile rather than a simple flat disc.
