Description

Track has to stop somewhere, and this is the small black piece that makes the stop look deliberate. It is cut for the shallow surface profile in the Magneto range, closing the open end of the channel so the run reads as a clean line rather than a sawn-off edge. The cap is shallow and unobtrusive, black against black, and it sits so close to the profile that most people will never notice it is there. Nothing about it is electrical, and there is no lamp involved. Sold as a set of two.

Most track goes up over a kitchen worktop, along a hallway, or across a living room ceiling where the light needs to move about, and in all those places the ends of the run sit at eye level or near enough. That is where a cap earns its keep. We would not send a shallow surface run out without the caps to finish it, and we keep them on the shelf beside the track. It suits anyone building a Magneto layout from parts, whether a straight length or a run turned round a corner. Indoors and dry rooms only.

The finish is a matt black that matches the shallow track, the surface L-joints and the deep parts in the range, so a layout stays the same colour throughout however many pieces it takes. Care is a case of running a dry cloth over the ends when you dust the track above; no cleaners, nothing damp. It carries a three year warranty. If your layout uses the deeper profile instead, there are matching caps for that, and the recessed track has its own. Small parts, but they are the difference between a track run that looks planned and one that looks improvised.
