Description

A small black ball hangs from the track on a slim suspension, giving a compact pendant head where you want light dropped closer to a work surface. The sphere measures 55mm across, and the integrated LED behind it draws 7W in a warm 2700K white with a tight, directional beam. The drop is adjustable, so a run of them can be set level over a long table or stepped to follow a counter.

We reach for these over kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables, where a single large pendant would crowd the room and a cluster of small heads reads better. They suit a home office too, dropped over a desk rather than washing the whole ceiling, and they work well in a hallway with a deep track run. Dimming is by triac, and a compatible dimmer is needed on the circuit; we stock the Magneto controller for that, along with the deep surface and pendant track this head is sized for.

The finish is black through the head, stem and adaptor, so the fitting reads as part of the track rather than an addition to it, and the driver is built in behind the scenes. A dry cloth over the sphere keeps it looking sharp, since a dark finish shows fingerprints sooner than it shows dust; leave the power off at the wall while you do it. This is a fitting for dry rooms indoors, away from steam and splashes. It carries a three year warranty. Black carries across the range, so the shallow and deep surface tracks, the recessed track, the corner joints and the end caps all match, and the LED is built in, so there is no lamp to buy.

Yes. It dims on a triac dimmer, which is not supplied. The Magneto controller in the same range covers a 12-48V system up to 720W, one controller per system.
