Description

A slim gold cylinder on a fine suspension, this hangs from the Magneto low voltage track and sends a tight, warm pool of light down onto whatever sits below. The LED and its driver are built in, drawing 7W for 550 lumens of warm white, which keeps the head narrow instead of bulking it out around a lamp. It dims with a triac dimmer, for a lower, calmer level after dark.

We reach for this where a ceiling light would sit too far from the work and a wide shade would block the view across a room: over a kitchen island, along a galley worktop, above a bar, or in a row down a long dining table. The drop is adjustable and reaches 2m, so it can sit close over stools or come down from a high ceiling in a converted space. Heads share the same track, so the spacing and the number of them are yours to decide, and each can be slid along later if the furniture moves.

The finish pairs gold with black, which sits comfortably against dark track and warm timber, and the fitting is double insulated. Keep it indoors, out of steam and damp. For care, cut the power, let the head cool, then lift dust off the gold with a dry cloth and leave sprays and polishes well alone, since they can dull the finish. It carries a three year warranty.
