Magneto 20W Track Light 65mm 4000K - Black

A compact spotlight head for the Magneto track range, giving a tight, directional pool of light rather than a general wash. The output comes from an integrated LED of 20W at 4000K, a cool white that keeps colours crisp and sits comfortably alongside daylight. The body is a slim cylinder in black, 65mm across, on a knuckle so the beam can be turned along a wall or dropped onto a worktop. It is not dimmable, so it works at full output whenever the circuit is live.

We use heads like this where light needs to land on something specific: a run of kitchen units, a stretch of shelving, artwork on a chimney breast, a desk in a home office. Cool white suits working rooms and display better than a lounge, and the narrow beam means several heads spaced along a track will read as separate pools rather than one flat field. Only fit it in dry rooms indoors; a kitchen or utility is fine, a bathroom zone or an open porch is not.

The finish is a matt black that keeps the head quiet against a dark track. The driver is included, and the LED is part of the fitting, so there is no lamp to replace. It carries a three year warranty. For cleaning, wait until the head is cold, then lift dust off the barrel and lens with a dry microfibre cloth; sprays and cream cleaners will dull the black, so keep them clear. How wide is the beam?

It is a 38 degree beam, so it puts down a defined circle of light rather than spreading across a whole room. Space heads roughly a metre apart on a track for even pools over a worktop.

Can it be dimmed?

No, this head is non-dimmable and runs at full output. If dimming matters to you, tell us before you order and we will point you to a dimmable head instead.

What size is the head?

It measures 200mm long and 140mm high, with a 65mm diameter barrel, and weighs 0.48kg.

How long should the LED last?

It is rated at 30,000 hours of average life, which is many years of normal evening use in a kitchen or study.

Is a driver needed separately?

No, the driver is built into the fitting. It is a Class 1 product, so an earth connection is required.

Does the colour temperature match other Magneto heads?

This one is 4000K cool white. Keep all heads on a single track to the same colour temperature, or the difference will show as soon as they are switched on.
