Description

The MAGfire flush mount kit is a pair of white powder-coated steel brackets designed to recess the ESP MAG816 fire alarm sounder into standard plasterboard walls. Each bracket is L-shaped with pre-drilled mounting holes, allowing the sounder to sit flush with the wall surface rather than surface-mounted on a back box.

Used in commercial fire alarm installations where a cleaner aesthetic is required without visible back boxes projecting from the wall, the kit suits corridor walls, office interiors and reception areas where the sounder needs to remain visible but less obtrusive. The brackets fix to wall studs or noggings behind the plasterboard before the sounder is mounted onto them, with the plasterboard cut to allow the sounder body to sit within the wall cavity.

The white powder-coated steel finish matches standard fire alarm sounder housings and resists corrosion in indoor environments. The kit includes two brackets to support both sides of the MAG816 sounder, distributing the weight evenly across the fixing points. Total gross weight of the kit is 0.5kg, providing sufficient structural rigidity without adding significant load to the wall.

No. The MAGfire flush mount kit is specifically designed for the MAG816 sounder. The bracket dimensions and mounting hole positions are matched to that model and will not align with other ESP sounders.

What wall construction is required?

The kit is designed for standard plasterboard walls with timber or metal stud framing behind. The brackets fix to the studs or noggings, with the plasterboard cut to allow the sounder body to recess into the cavity. Solid masonry walls do not require this flush mount kit.

Does the kit include fixings?

The kit includes the two steel brackets only. Wall fixings (screws, wall plugs) are not included and should be selected based on the specific wall construction and stud material at the installation site.
