Description

The MagDuo call point cover is a clear polycarbonate protective housing designed to fit over ESP MagDuo resettable surface-mounted call points in fire alarm installations. The 120mm square cover sits flush over the call point face and lifts on a top hinge to allow deliberate access to the activation element while preventing accidental knocks or tampering.

Used in commercial, industrial and public buildings where fire alarm call points are positioned in high-traffic corridors, near sports areas, or close to doorways where trolleys or equipment might strike the wall, the cover adds a physical barrier without obstructing visibility of the call point itself. The clear polycarbonate material allows the call point status indicator and labelling to remain visible through the cover at all times.

The cover measures 120mm x 120mm x 70mm deep and weighs 250g, making it substantial enough to stay in place without fixing yet light enough to lift easily in an emergency. The polycarbonate construction resists impact better than acrylic and will not yellow or become brittle under normal indoor UV exposure. Installation requires no tools — the cover clips or sits over the existing call point mounting without additional screws or fixings.

Frequently Asked

Which call points does this cover fit?

The cover is designed specifically for ESP MagDuo resettable surface-mounted call points. It will not fit other manufacturers' call points or flush-mounted variants without modification.

Does the cover need to be fixed to the wall?

No. The cover sits over the existing call point and is held in place by its own design. No additional screws or fixings are required, making it quick to install and removable for maintenance.

Can the call point still be activated with the cover on?

Yes. The cover lifts on a top hinge to allow access to the call point activation element. In an emergency, the user lifts the cover and then activates the call point in the normal manner.

Is the polycarbonate material fire-rated?

Polycarbonate is a self-extinguishing thermoplastic with good flame resistance, but this cover is a protective accessory rather than a fire-rated component. It provides impact protection and prevents accidental activation — it does not carry a separate fire certification.
