Maddison 2 Light Cylinder Crystal Pendant Light - Polished Chrome

The Maddison is a 150mm diameter cylinder pendant built from vertical strands of cut crystal hung around a polished chrome internal frame, with two G9 bulb fittings hidden inside the cylinder. Each strand alternates rectangular and square faceted crystals in uniform rows, creating a continuous vertical surface that refracts light in multiple directions. The polished chrome canopy, suspension cable and internal frame provide a cool metallic contrast to the clear crystal.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables where a slim profile is needed, the Maddison's 150mm diameter keeps the pendant compact enough for smaller spaces while the 420-2000mm adjustable drop accommodates ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. For a 760-900mm table surface the pendant typically sits 650-750mm above the surface when installed. The slender cylindrical form avoids blocking sightlines across a table or worktop.

The crystal strands are arranged in a tight vertical grid, so when the bulbs inside are lit the faceted glass catches and scatters the light across the cylinder walls, creating bright highlights and soft refracted patterns on surrounding surfaces. The polished chrome finish provides a high-gloss reflective surface that amplifies the crystal's brightness. At 2.1kg the pendant requires a ceiling rose rated for this weight, and the G9 bulbs (sold separately) can be LED or halogen depending on the desired brightness and colour temperature.

Is the Maddison dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs. The pendant itself is dimmer-compatible, but dimming function depends entirely on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer switch installed. Most LED G9 bulbs now support dimming, but check bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer.

What bulbs does it take?

The Maddison takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each (sold separately). Most users choose G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W for equivalent brightness to a 25-40W halogen, in warm white 2700-3000K for dining and kitchen use.

How is the drop adjusted?

The suspension cable can be shortened during installation by looping excess cable inside the ceiling rose. The cable must be cut to final length before wiring. For professional installation the electrician will set the final drop based on ceiling height and table position.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal strand gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the pendant or getting moisture into the bulb fittings.
