Description

The LYYT Short Crown corner connectors are translucent plastic jointing pieces designed to bridge 90-degree corners in aluminium LED tape profile installations. Each connector slots into the end of two Short Crown profile sections (156.807UK or 156.817UK), maintaining the diffuser run across the corner turn without breaking the light line. Sold in packs of four.

Used in suspended LED profile installations where the profile turns a corner — such as around ceilings, under-cabinet perimeters, or along wall-ceiling junctions — the translucent material allows light from the LED tape to pass through the connector itself rather than going dark at the joint. This creates a continuous lit effect across the entire profile run including corners.

The Short Crown profile has a curved top surface that mimics traditional coving or cornice shapes, making it suited to installations where the LED profile replaces or supplements traditional ceiling trim. The connector is a push-fit component: no screws, adhesive or tools are required to join two profile sections at a corner, though the LED tape itself will need to be soldered or connected separately at the joint depending on your wiring method.

Frequently Asked

Which profiles are these compatible with?

These connectors fit LYYT Short Crown aluminium LED profiles, specifically models 156.807UK and 156.817UK. They will not fit the 90 Degree Arc profile (which uses connector 156.960UK) or other LYYT profile shapes.

Do they carry electrical current?

No. The connector is a mechanical jointing piece only. The LED tape must be separately wired or soldered across the corner junction, or you can use a corner jumper connector for the tape itself.

How are they fitted?

Push the connector into the open end of one profile section, then slide the second profile section onto the other side of the connector at 90 degrees. The translucent plastic holds the two profiles in alignment at the corner.

What's the difference between Short Crown and 90 Degree Arc connectors?

Short Crown connectors (156.967UK) fit the curved-top Short Crown profile. 90 Degree Arc connectors (156.960UK) fit the different-shaped Arc profile. The two are not interchangeable — use the connector that matches your profile type.
