Description

The LYYT RGB LED strip X connector is a solderless snap-fit junction piece for joining four runs of 12mm RGB LED tape at a single point. Each connector measures 52 x 52mm with a 5mm profile and uses four spring-loaded contact plates to grip the copper pads on standard 12mm RGB strip. The pack contains five connectors, each rated IP20 for dry indoor installation.

Designed for installations where LED tape needs to branch in multiple directions from a single junction. Under-cabinet lighting that splits to three separate cupboard runs, retail display cases with cross-hatched tape layouts, or event setups requiring radial tape distribution from a central point. The snap-fit mechanism holds the tape securely without requiring solder, crimp tools or screwdrivers, reducing installation time compared to traditional wire-splice joints.

Each connector weighs 4.4g and sits flush against most mounting surfaces when the tape is laid flat. What tape width does this connector fit?

The connector is designed for 12mm RGB LED strip. It will not fit 8mm or 10mm strip, nor RGBW or single-colour tape with different pad configurations.

Does it require soldering or tools?

No. The connector uses a snap-fit mechanism with spring-loaded contact plates. Insert the cut end of the LED strip into each of the four arms, align the copper pads with the contact plates, and snap the cover closed to secure the connection.

Can it be used outdoors?

The IP20 rating means the connector is not protected against moisture ingress. Use only in dry indoor locations such as under kitchen cabinets, inside wardrobes, behind shelving or within retail display cases.

Can the connector be reused if the tape layout changes?

The snap-fit cover can be opened and the tape removed, but repeated opening and closing may weaken the spring contacts over time. Treat the connector as semi-permanent once installed.
