The LYYT RGB LED Strip X Connector is a four-way junction piece for 10mm-wide RGB LED tape, allowing four separate strip runs to meet at a single central point. Each connector measures 50 x 50mm with a 5mm profile and uses a snap-fit design that grips the copper contact pads on the LED strip without requiring soldering or crimping tools.

Designed for commercial displays, architectural lighting schemes, stage installations and home projects where multiple LED strip runs need to branch from a single point, the X connector maintains electrical continuity across all four ports. The connector works with standard 10mm RGB LED tape where the red, green and blue channels run on separate copper traces, ensuring colour mixing remains consistent across each connected strip. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only.

The white polycarbonate housing weighs 3.9g per connector, light enough that it can be supported by the LED strip itself in most ceiling or wall-mounted installations without additional mechanical fixings. Each connector accepts four strip ends by opening the plastic clips, inserting the strip until the copper pads align with the internal contacts, then closing the clips to lock the connection. The pack of five connectors allows for multiple junction points across a single installation without needing to buy separate singles.

Does this work with single-colour LED strip?

No. This connector is designed specifically for 10mm RGB LED strip with four contact pads (common positive, red, green, blue). For single-colour strip you need a two-contact connector.

Can all four ports be used at once?

Yes. The connector is designed to allow four separate strip runs to meet at a central junction, with electrical continuity maintained across all four ports simultaneously.

Is soldering required?

No. The connector uses a snap-fit design where the LED strip is inserted into the connector and secured by closing plastic clips over the copper contact pads. No tools are needed beyond a pair of scissors to cut the strip to length.

Can this be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It is not protected against moisture or dust ingress.
