Description

The LYYT L connector forms 90° corners in 10mm RGB LED strip runs without requiring soldering or cutting into the strip's copper traces. Each connector uses a snap-fit mechanism where the strip's contact pads align with four spring-loaded pins inside the connector body, creating electrical continuity for the red, green, blue and common conductors while mechanically holding the strip in place.

Designed for installations where LED tape needs to navigate around internal corners on ceiling coves, cabinet edges, display cases, signage frames and architectural detailing, the connectors allow runs to change direction while maintaining consistent brightness and colour mixing across the corner. The 30mm square footprint fits within typical recessed channels and trim profiles used to conceal LED strip installations. Each connector weighs 2.1g and sits 5mm tall above the mounting surface.

The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments away from moisture and dust ingress. The white plastic body is made from a rigid polycarbonate blend that holds its shape under repeated clip-on and clip-off cycles during installation and future maintenance. While primarily used to form L-shaped corners, the connector can also function as a straight in-line joiner when a strip run needs to be extended or repaired mid-section.

Supplied in packs of five, the connectors suit multi-room installations or projects where several corner turns are needed within a single LED strip layout. Compatible with standard 10mm wide RGB LED tape carrying 4-pin contact pads spaced at 10mm intervals, which is the typical specification for mid-density RGB strips rated between 7.2W and 14.4W per metre.

What width LED strip does it fit?

The connector is designed for 10mm wide RGB LED strip with 4-pin contact pads. It will not fit narrower 8mm strips or wider 12mm RGBW variants, which use different pad spacing and pin counts.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector offers no protection against moisture or dust ingress. It is suitable only for dry indoor installations away from bathrooms, kitchens and exterior locations.

Can it join two straight strips end-to-end?
