Description

The LYYT RGB COB T-connector joins three lengths of 10mm RGB COB LED strip in a T-shaped configuration, allowing lighting runs to branch in multiple directions from a single junction point. The transparent polycarbonate housing maintains the continuous glow of COB (chip-on-board) LED strips across the join, avoiding the dark gaps that typically appear at traditional connector points.

Designed for retail accent lighting, under-cabinet installations, signage backlighting and architectural cove lighting where strip runs need to branch or split, the connector uses a solderless clip-in mechanism. Each strip end slides into one of the three apertures until the copper contact pads align with the internal terminals, then the top plate crimps down to lock the strips in place and maintain electrical contact. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations.

Each connector measures 27 x 27 x 6mm and weighs 0.4g, giving a low-profile junction that sits flush against mounting surfaces without creating visible bulk under diffuser channels or translucent covers. The pack of five suits installations where multiple branch points are needed across a single project. No. These are designed specifically for 10mm COB (chip-on-board) RGB LED strip where the LEDs form a continuous line rather than individual chips. Standard 5050 or 3528 RGB strip has different contact pad spacing and will not align correctly with the internal terminals.

Is soldering required?

No. The connector uses a clip-in mechanism. Slide each strip end into an aperture until the copper pads align with the internal contacts, then press the top plate down to crimp and lock the connection.

Can these be used outdoors?
