Description

The LYYT RGB COB flexible link is a solderless connector designed to extend or corner 10mm RGB COB LED strips without needing to solder joints. Each link consists of a 163mm four-core cable (red, green, blue, black) with crimp-fit connectors at both ends that clip onto the copper pads of RGB COB strip tape. The 15mm wire length between connectors allows the link to bridge gaps, navigate corners, or connect separate strip sections in a continuous run.

Intended for both trade installers and home DIY projects, the flexible link suits under-cabinet lighting, alcove installations, shelving runs, and other applications where LED strip needs to change direction or span a gap without visible soldering. The connectors are IP20 rated for indoor dry-location use only and are compatible specifically with LYYT 10mm RGB COB strip (156.667UK). For single-colour COB strips (warm white, cool white, very warm white), LYYT produces a separate single-colour flexible link (156.658UK).

The crimp-fit connectors hold the strip firmly in alignment once pressed onto the copper contact pads, reducing the risk of intermittent connections or accidental disconnection during installation. Each link weighs 5g and adds minimal bulk to the strip run. The four-colour cable coding (red for red channel, green for green channel, blue for blue channel, black for common negative) matches standard RGB wiring convention and simplifies polarity matching when connecting to controllers or power supplies.

The RGB flexible link is designed for LYYT 10mm RGB COB LED strip (SKU 156.667UK). It will not work with single-colour COB strips. Those require the single-colour version (156.658UK).

Can this be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for indoor dry locations only. For outdoor or wet-location installations, soldered and sealed connections are required.

How do the connectors attach to the strip?

The crimp-fit connectors at each end of the cable press onto the exposed copper contact pads of the COB strip. No soldering is needed. Once pressed, the connector holds the strip in alignment and maintains electrical contact.

How many links are in a pack?

Each pack contains 5 flexible links, giving enough connectors for multiple corners or extensions in a typical installation.
