LYYT RGB COB LED Strip Connector 10mm - Pack of 5

The LYYT RGB COB connector joins two sections of 10mm RGB COB LED strip without soldering. The clear polycarbonate housing exposes the internal contacts and maintains the continuous-on-board (COB) glow of the strip through the joint. Each connector weighs 0.4g and measures 13 x 11 x 6mm, fitting into recesses behind plinths, under cabinets and inside channels where traditional screw-fix connectors cannot.

Installation requires no tools beyond the connector itself. Align the four copper contacts of the strip (RGB + common positive) with the corresponding metal pins inside the connector housing, then press the crimp-down tabs to secure. The pressure-contact method holds the strip firmly and establishes electrical continuity across all four conductors. Supplied as a pack of five, the connectors suit installation projects requiring multiple joins across a room or across separate runs of strip in different zones.

The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only — the connector is not sealed against moisture and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor locations. The transparent housing allows visual confirmation of correct alignment before crimping, reducing the risk of reversed polarity or incomplete contact. Compatible with AVSL 156.667UK RGB COB strip and equivalent 10mm RGB COB products from other manufacturers using the same contact spacing.

Does this work with all RGB COB strip?

The connector is designed for 10mm-width RGB COB strip with four copper contacts (RGB + common positive). It fits AVSL 156.667UK and equivalent 10mm RGB COB products from other brands using the same contact spacing. It will not fit single-colour strip, RGBW strip, or strips wider than 10mm.

Can I reuse the connector if I need to reposition the strip?

The crimp tabs are designed for single use. Once pressed down, they deform slightly to lock the strip in place. Forcing them open risks breaking the housing or damaging the internal contacts. For temporary installations requiring frequent repositioning, consider screw-terminal connectors instead.

Is it rated for outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector has no protection against moisture ingress and is suitable only for dry indoor environments. For outdoor RGB COB installations, use IP65 or IP67 rated strip with sealed connectors.

How many connections can I make from one pack?

Each pack contains five connectors, allowing five joins between strip sections. If your installation requires joins at both ends of a middle section, you will need two connectors for that section.
