Description
The LYYT RF 1-Colour LED Controller is an in-line dimmer and pattern controller for single-colour LED tape running on 12-24V DC. The controller sits between the power supply and the LED tape via 2.1/5.5mm DC jack connectors, handling up to 6A load without requiring any additional wiring or terminal blocks.
Controlled via the supplied 14-key RF remote operating on 433.92MHz, the controller provides four preset brightness levels (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%), two dynamic fade/flash modes, four user-programmable DIY brightness settings, and a delay-off timer. The RF signal operates through walls and furniture up to typical domestic ranges, so the remote does not require line-of-sight to the controller once installed behind furniture or inside cabinetry.
The controller measures 300mm long by 20mm square, small enough to hide behind a headboard, under a kitchen cabinet plinth, or inside a display unit without adding visible bulk. The white casing matches standard white LED tape cable runs. Input and output use the same 2.1/5.5mm DC barrel connector common to most 12V and 24V LED tape power supplies, so installation involves plugging the controller inline between the existing PSU and tape with no cutting or soldering required.

Frequently Asked
What LED tape is this compatible with?
The controller works with any single-colour (non-RGB) LED tape rated at 12V DC or 24V DC, provided the total current draw does not exceed 6A. At 12V that equates to roughly 5 metres of high-density tape; at 24V slightly more depending on the tape specification.
Does the remote require line-of-sight?
No. The 433.92MHz RF signal operates through walls, furniture and cabinetry, so the remote does not need to point directly at the controller once installed. Typical domestic range is 8-12 metres depending on building materials.
What are the DIY modes?
DIY1-4 are user-programmable brightness settings. You set a specific brightness level using the +/- buttons, then hold one of the DIY buttons to save that level for instant recall later. This allows four custom brightness presets in addition to the fixed 25/50/75/100% buttons.
Can multiple controllers be paired to one remote?
The controller and remote ship pre-paired. Multiple controllers within RF range will respond to the same remote simultaneously, which can be useful for synchronising multiple tape runs in the same room. Individual addressing of controllers is not supported.
