Description

The LYYT mounting clip is a translucent nylon fixing designed to hold rope light and LED tube light against walls, ceilings, soffits and other flat or curved surfaces. The clip measures 20 x 15 x 15mm and uses two raised arches to grip the rope light or tube light firmly without crushing the cable or compromising the IP rating of the LED run.

Intended for indoor and sheltered outdoor applications where LED rope light or tube light needs to follow an architectural feature, run along a skirting board, outline a soffit edge, or wrap around a curved surface, the clip allows the cable to be positioned precisely and held in place during installation. The base of the clip has two pre-drilled screw holes for fixing to wood, plasterboard or masonry, and can also be bonded with adhesive where screw fixing is not suitable.

The translucent white nylon construction blends with white ceilings and light-coloured walls, and its small 20mm footprint means the clips remain visually discreet once the LED run is installed and lit. Multiple clips are typically spaced 300-500mm apart along the cable run depending on the flexibility and weight of the specific rope light or tube light being installed. Each clip weighs 10g, allowing dozens to be handled and positioned during a single installation without adding significant load to the surface.
