Description

The LYYT RGB COB X-connector is a solderless 4-way junction for 10mm RGB COB LED strips, creating cross-shaped routing points where four strips meet. The transparent polycarbonate body allows light to pass through the join, maintaining the continuous glow of COB (chip-on-board) LED strips without visible dark gaps at connection points. Each connector measures 27 x 27 x 6mm and weighs 0.4g.

Designed for retail displays, hospitality accent lighting, exhibition stands and architectural installations where LED strips need to branch in multiple directions from a single point, the X-connector eliminates soldering. Strip ends are inserted into each of the four ports, copper contacts align automatically, and pressure-fit terminals secure the electrical connection. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only.

Each connector accepts 10mm-wide RGB COB strips with matching pad spacing. The transparent body blends into white or neutral surfaces and becomes nearly invisible when the strips are illuminated. The pack of 5 suits installations covering 10-20 linear metres where multiple branching points are needed to route strips around cabinets, alcoves, shelving or signage frames. Compatible with LYYT RGB COB LED strips (156.667UK) and other 10mm RGB COB strips with standard pad layouts.

Do these connectors require soldering?

No. The LYYT X-connector uses pressure-fit terminals. Insert each strip end into a port, align the copper pads with the internal contacts, and press firmly to secure. No heat or solder is needed.

What width LED strip do they fit?

These connectors are designed for 10mm-wide RGB COB LED strips. They will not fit 8mm, 12mm or single-colour strips.

Can they be used outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means these connectors are not weatherproof and must only be used in dry indoor locations. Moisture will cause electrical failure.

Why is the body transparent?

COB LED strips produce continuous light with no visible diodes. A transparent connector body allows light to pass through the join, maintaining the continuous glow effect across the connection point rather than creating a dark gap.
