Description

The LYYT end cap is a protective termination component for 20mm rope light and tube light installations, designed to seal the cut end of a rope light run where no connection is needed. The 20 x 20mm aperture fits standard LYYT rope light profiles and the 15mm depth provides enough room for the cut end of the rope light plus a thin layer of silicone adhesive.

Used in combination with silicone glue and heat shrink sleeving, the end cap creates a watertight seal that prevents moisture ingress at the termination point. This makes it suitable for outdoor rope light installations where the cut end would otherwise be exposed to rain or condensation. The cap is fitted over the rope light end, silicone adhesive is applied around the joint, and heat shrink sleeving is then applied over the cap and a short section of the rope light before being heated to form a tight seal.

The white plastic construction matches most LYYT rope light outer sleeves and weighs just 10g, so it does not add noticeable weight to a suspended rope light run. Each cap seals one termination point. For a typical rope light installation you will need one end cap per cut end that does not connect to a power supply or another section.
