The LYYT 8mm single colour LED strip X connector joins four strips of 8mm LED tape at a central point without soldering. Each connector measures 48 x 48mm with a 3mm profile and uses a snap-fit mechanism that clamps onto the copper pads of standard 8mm single colour LED strip. The connector is supplied in packs of five and rated IP20 for indoor use.

Designed for installations where LED strip needs to branch in multiple directions from a single feed point, the X connector suits retail display lighting, under-cabinet runs that split into multiple zones, signage backlighting, and architectural installations where LED tape follows complex geometric patterns. This connector is designed for 8mm wide single colour LED strip tape only. It will not fit 10mm strip, RGB strip, or dual white LED tape. Check the width of your LED strip before ordering — 8mm strip typically has two copper pads on the back.

Does it require soldering?

No. The connector uses a snap-fit mechanism that clamps onto the copper contact pads on the LED strip. Open the connector, insert the strip end into each of the four slots ensuring the pads align with the contact pins, then close the connector to secure.

Can it be used outdoors?

How many strips can be connected?

Each X connector joins four strips — one on each arm of the X. If you need to connect fewer than four strips, simply leave the unused arms empty. The connector will still function with two or three strips attached.
