Description

The LYYT 10mm L connector joins two lengths of 10mm single colour LED strip at a 90° angle using a snap-fit mechanism that requires no soldering. Each connector measures 30 x 30 x 3mm and uses a spring-loaded contact plate to grip the copper pads on the LED strip when the plastic cover is closed, creating an electrical connection at the corner.

Designed for residential accent lighting, retail displays, under-cabinet installations and commercial signage where LED strip needs to turn a corner, the L connector allows strip to follow the edges of shelves, cabinets, ceilings and architectural features without interrupting the light run. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry indoor use only, not for bathrooms, kitchens or outdoor installations where moisture is present.

The connector accepts 10mm-wide single colour LED strip (the type with two copper pads rather than the four-pad RGB or five-pad RGBW versions). Installation involves opening the connector's hinged cover, inserting the cut end of the LED strip into each side so the copper pads align with the contact plate, and closing the cover to lock the connection. Each connector weighs 1.9g and can be repositioned or removed if needed during installation. Supplied in packs of five.

Does this work with RGB or RGBW LED strip?

No. This connector is designed for 10mm single colour LED strip with two copper contact pads. RGB strip has four pads and RGBW has five. They require different connectors with matching contact configurations.

Can this be used as a straight coupler?

Yes. While designed primarily for 90° corners, the L connector can join two strip ends in a straight line if needed, though a dedicated straight connector provides a neater result for inline joins.

Is soldering required?

No. The connector uses a snap-fit mechanism with a spring-loaded contact plate. Open the cover, insert the LED strip ends so the copper pads align with the contacts, and close the cover to lock the connection.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry indoor use only. Bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor installations require IP65 or IP67 rated waterproof connectors.
