LYYT 10 Mounting Clips for 45° Angle LED Profile

The LYYT 10 Clips for 45° Angle Profile are steel spring clips designed to secure 45° angled LED aluminium profiles to ceilings, walls and corners. Each clip uses a spring-fit design that grips the profile channel from behind and pushes it against the mounting surface, keeping the profile in place without adhesive. The pack contains 10 clips, enough to secure a typical 2m profile run with clips spaced every 200-250mm.

Used for corner lighting installations where LED strip is set into a 45° profile running along ceiling-to-wall joints, under-cabinet edges, or staircase nosings, the clips allow the profile to be removed and repositioned during installation without leaving adhesive residue. The spring tension holds the profile securely once positioned, while allowing controlled adjustment before final fixing if screw-mounting the clips to the surface.

The clips are stamped from galvanised steel and measure approximately 15mm wide, with bent tabs that hook into the rear channel of LYYT 45° profiles. They are profile-specific and will not fit profiles from other manufacturers or different profile geometries (such as surface-mount or recessed profiles). Once the LED strip is installed in the profile and the diffuser cover is clipped on, the clips remain hidden behind the profile body.

Are these compatible with any 45° profile?

No. These clips are designed specifically for LYYT 45° angle LED profiles and fit into the rear channel geometry of that profile range. They will not fit profiles from other manufacturers or different LYYT profile shapes.

How many clips are needed per metre of profile?

Typical spacing is one clip every 200-250mm for horizontal runs, giving 4-5 clips per metre. Vertical or overhead installations may benefit from closer spacing at 150-200mm intervals for added security.

Can the clips be screwed to the surface?

Yes. The clips can be screwed through the base tab to the mounting surface before the profile is clipped into place, providing a more permanent fixing than relying on spring tension alone. This is recommended for overhead installations.

Do the clips work on uneven surfaces?

The spring design allows some tolerance for minor surface irregularities, but the profile will only sit flush if the mounting surface is reasonably flat. On heavily textured walls or ceilings, the profile may need to be mounted to a timber batten first to create a flat fixing plane.
