Description

The Lunara is a 400mm round wall light built around a hand-cut Spanish alabaster disc set against a circular brushed brass backplate. The alabaster sits proud of the brass plate on four small brass pegs, leaving a shallow gap that allows light to spill around the edge of the stone as well as through it. A single G9 lamp socket sits behind the alabaster, lighting the stone from within.

Designed as a wall-mounted ambient and accent light, the Lunara suits bedrooms either side of a bed, hallway and corridor runs, living rooms flanking a fireplace or artwork, and softly-lit dining spaces. The 150mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact enough for narrower hallways while still giving the alabaster depth against the brass disc behind it. Hard-wired installation onto a standard wall back box.

Each alabaster disc shows different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Lunara wall lights look identical when lit. The brushed brass backplate is finished to a low-sheen warm gold that picks up reflected light from the alabaster without adding glare. The combined alabaster and solid metal give the fitting a substantial physical presence on the wall without protruding aggressively into the room.

What bulb does the Lunara take?

The Lunara uses a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED between 2700K and 3000K gives the closest match to the warm tone of the brass and complements the natural cream colour of the alabaster.

Is the Lunara dimmable?

The fitting itself can be paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb on a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb and dimmer combination, so check the bulb manufacturer's guidance before installation.

Can it be mounted horizontally or vertically?

The Lunara is fully round, so it can be installed in any rotational orientation without affecting how it looks or performs. The circular brass backplate is symmetrical, which makes positioning straightforward on most wall surfaces.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and the differences become most visible when the light is switched on.
