The Lunar is a 30cm spherical pendant light made from silk-infused acrylic, hand-painted in white with fine grey veining that runs vertically across the orb. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the sphere on a 150cm cable, suspending the orb from a discreet ceiling fixing. The textured surface diffuses light evenly across the full 360-degree form once the bulb is lit.

Designed as a single feature pendant, the Lunar suits dining tables, kitchen islands, entrance halls and stairwell voids where a sculptural light source is wanted without a heavy fitting. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation, allowing the orb to hang at any height between the ceiling rose and a typical 700-800mm drop above a dining surface. The lightweight acrylic construction means the pendant can also be used in groups or staggered drops without needing reinforced ceiling fixings.

Each orb is hand-painted, so the pattern of grey veining differs between individual pieces — no two Lunars are identical. The silk infusion in the acrylic gives the surface a soft pearlescent sheen rather than a flat white, picking up light from windows during the day and glowing warmly when the lamp is switched on at night. The 30cm diameter keeps the pendant in proportion with smaller rooms while still reading as a clear focal element.

What bulb does the Lunar take?

The pendant uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K works well to bring out the soft sheen of the silk-infused acrylic without overheating the shade.

Will every Lunar pendant look the same?

No. Each orb is hand-painted, so the pattern and density of grey veining varies between individual pieces. This is a feature of the hand-finishing process rather than a defect.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The 150cm cable can be adjusted on installation to suit the ceiling height and intended drop. For a dining table the orb typically sits 700-800mm above the surface; for hallways and stairwells it can be hung lower or higher depending on the space.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 30cm orb height keeps the pendant compact enough for ceilings from around 2.3m upwards, provided the cable is shortened on fitting. For lower ceilings, position the pendant over a table or island rather than in main walkways.
