Description
The Lumixia is a 640mm alabaster table lamp built around a rectangular column of natural Spanish alabaster, finished at the top with a sculpted brass edge that drips downward in an irregular, organic profile. A brushed brass plinth supports the column and a matching brass stem rises from the top to carry a tailored rectangular shade in soft white PVC. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately).
Sized for console tables, sideboards, bedside tables in larger bedrooms and lounge side tables, the Lumixia works as ambient task lighting with a strong sculptural presence. The 380mm x 180mm rectangular footprint suits surfaces with at least 450mm of free depth, and the 640mm overall height places the shade at a comfortable seated reading level beside a sofa or armchair. The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs.
The alabaster column is cut from a single block of natural stone, so each lamp shows different mineral veining and tonal variation across its faces. When the bulb is lit the alabaster glows softly from within, working alongside the directed downlight from the shade to give two layers of light from one fitting. The dripped brass collar contrasts the geometric precision of the stone block with a fluid, hand-sculpted edge, and the brushed brass base and stem tie the metal detailing together top and bottom.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Lumixia take?
The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the alabaster column and gives a soft glow through the stone alongside the downlight from the shade.
Does the alabaster glow when the lamp is on?
Yes. The alabaster column is naturally translucent, so light from the bulb passes through the stone and gives a soft internal glow. This works in addition to the directed light cast downward by the rectangular shade.
Does each lamp look identical?
No. Each column is cut from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster, and the mineral veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
