Description

A shallow round plate in polished chrome carries a single slim curved trapezium shade in clear, so the lamp sits in full view and light spills sideways as well as down. At 15cm across and shallow in depth, it keeps close to the ceiling line without drawing attention to itself. It takes an E27 lamp of up to 20W, and it will dim given a dimmable lamp and a matching dimmer.

We would put it on a landing, in a hall, over the stairs or in a small bedroom where a pendant would hang into head height. Because the shade is clear it also works well in rooms that already have plenty going on, since it reads as a bright fleck rather than a solid block. It belongs indoors in dry rooms, so keep it clear of shower zones and anywhere steam gathers. It suits low ceilings in older houses and new flats alike, and it is one we point people to when headroom is the deciding factor.
