Description

Three slim curved trapezium shades hang in a row from a linear bar finished in polished chrome. The shades are clear, so the lamp inside each one is part of the look, and each takes an E27 lamp. Every shade sits on its own suspension and the drop is adjustable, so the row can hang tight to the ceiling or come well down over the surface below. The trapezium shape is tall rather than wide, which keeps the fitting reading as a line rather than a cluster.

We reach for this one over a kitchen island or a long dining table, where light spread along the length does more than a central fitting on its own. It suits a hall run or a bank of worktop just as well. Clear shades keep the sightline open, which helps in a room that is already busy or where solid shades would sit heavy. With dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer it takes the level down for the evening; the dimmer is a separate purchase. Keep it to dry rooms indoors; a bathroom or a covered porch asks for a different fitting.

The bar and suspensions carry the same polished chrome throughout, and at 85cm end to end the fitting stays compact enough for a modest table. Clear shades show every fingerprint, so keep a lint-free cloth to hand and wipe them once the lamps are cold; the chrome wants no more than dusting. Each lamp should be no more than 20W. It carries a one year warranty.
