Description

The Libra is a 47cm three-arm crystal chandelier with scrolled antique brass metalwork, cut crystal droplets and a central decorative column topped with a crystal orb. Each of the three arms curves outward from the central stem to hold an E14 candle bulb fitting, with a pressed glass sconce beneath each lampholder and teardrop crystal pendants hanging below.

Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m, the Libra provides ambient and decorative light at a scale that suits smaller rooms without overwhelming them. The drop is adjustable between 870mm and 1870mm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or hung higher in an entrance hall. The three E14 bulbs (sold separately) give flexibility to choose filament-style candle bulbs for visible glow or frosted LED candles for diffused light.

The antique brass finish has a darker, slightly tarnished tone compared to polished or brushed brass, giving the metalwork a heritage look that pairs with traditional, classical and vintage-inspired interiors. The scrolled arms and decorative centre column reference early 20th-century European chandelier designs, while the cut crystal droplets add refractive sparkle when the fitting is lit. At 2.8kg the chandelier requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting at least 4kg and fixing into joists or using appropriate ceiling anchors in plasterboard.

Is the Libra chandelier dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming. Choose dimmable LED or filament candle bulbs and confirm your dimmer is rated for the lamp type you select.

What bulbs does it take?

The Libra takes three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow, or clear filament candle bulbs for visible vintage-style filaments.

What room size does the 47cm diameter suit?

A 47cm chandelier suits dining rooms and bedrooms between 3m x 3m and 4m x 4m. Over a dining table the chandelier should be approximately one-third to one-half the width of the table — so a 47cm fitting pairs comfortably with tables between 90cm and 140cm wide.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Remove dust with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. For fingerprints or buildup on the crystal droplets, use a barely-damp microfibre cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately. Do not spray cleaning products directly onto the chandelier or submerge crystal pieces.
