Description
Concrete is an unusual choice for a small exterior light, and it suits this one well: a squat grey cylinder with a matt, faintly grainy face that feels solid in the hand. It measures 90mm across and 130mm tall, so it keeps a low profile wherever it goes. A GU10 lamp sits behind the opening, rated up to 12W, and the light travels in one direction, throwing a defined column rather than a general glow. It is one we reach for when a moulded plastic spotlight would look cheap beside brick or render.
Sealed against dust and driven water, it is made for outdoor life: over a back door, along a garden wall, above a flight of steps, or turned down onto planting. The same sealing makes it useful in a shower room or a utility indoors. We would fit a warm white LED reflector lamp and run several in a line where you want light to land in pools rather than flood everything at once. It reads well against modern render and just as happily on older brick. Dimming is possible provided the lamp you choose is dimmable, and no dimmer is supplied.
The grey is the material itself rather than a paint layer, so slight shifts in tone and texture across the surface are the concrete showing through and not a flaw. Wipe it with a damp cloth and skip anything abrasive, since grit dragged across a cast surface will dull it; a little weathering outdoors simply settles the finish. It carries a two year warranty. We stock this round head in white concrete as well, along with rectangular spotlights in both shades, and there are matching wall lamps in the range if you need more output from a single point. Lamps are not included.

Frequently Asked
What size is it?
It is 90mm in diameter and 130mm tall, so it sits quietly on a wall or ceiling without dominating.
Which lamp should I use?
One GU10 lamp with a 50mm reflector, up to 12W. An LED version is the sensible choice and keeps running costs down.
Can I dim it?
Yes, but only if the GU10 lamp you fit is itself dimmable and you have a suitable dimmer. No dimmer is included.
Is it genuinely suitable for outdoors?
It is, being sealed against dust and jets of water, which is why it also works in a shower room or utility.
Will the concrete look identical to the photograph?
Very close, though cast concrete carries small natural variations in tone and surface texture from piece to piece.
How should I clean it?
A damp cloth is enough. Avoid scouring pads, solvents and bleach, as these will mark the cast surface.
