Description

Cast concrete in a white finish gives this little spotlight a solid, quarried look that sits well against timber, brick and render alike. The body is a neat block, 90mm square at the face and 130mm deep, with the lamp set back at the open end so the source stays out of your eyeline. It takes a GU10 reflector lamp, and where a dimmable lamp is paired with a compatible dimmer the level can be brought down.

Sealed against water and dust, it is at home on an exposed wall or tucked under a porch soffit, throwing a controlled cone rather than general light. We reach for it where a wall light would look fussy: over a front door, above a garage, picking out a specimen tree or washing the face of a stone wall. It suits anyone who wants light aimed exactly where it is needed rather than spilled about, and indoors it does the same job in a shower room or a utility. Run several along a soffit and you get an even rhythm of pools down a path.

Concrete is an honest, weighty material, and each casting carries its own faint variation across the surface, which is part of the appeal. Keep it clean with a soft damp cloth and dry it off afterwards, leaving abrasive creams and solvents well alone, because the finish is meant to read as raw material rather than paint. It carries a two year warranty. We stock the same rectangular spotlight in grey concrete, a round spotlight in both shades, and rectangular and round wall lights if you want one look running across a whole elevation. Lamps are not included.
