Description
The Knightsbridge LED strip silicone glue is a 10ml tube of clear silicone adhesive designed for bonding LED strip light to mounting surfaces and sealing cut ends after installation. The adhesive comes in a squeeze tube with a fine applicator tip that allows controlled dispensing along the back of LED strip tape or around cut strip ends.
Used during LED strip installation in kitchens, under-cabinet lighting, cove lighting and architectural applications where mechanical clips or standard adhesive backing may not provide sufficient hold on textured, angled or outdoor-rated surfaces. The silicone bonds to aluminium extrusions, plasterboard, timber, painted surfaces and most plastics. Once cured, the clear silicone becomes waterproof, making it suitable for sealing strip ends in IP-rated installations or where moisture exposure is possible.
The 10ml tube provides enough adhesive for approximately 2-3 metres of strip bonding or sealing multiple cut ends depending on bead thickness. The silicone sets within 24 hours at room temperature and remains flexible after curing, allowing for minor thermal expansion of aluminium profiles without cracking. Replacement applicator caps are available separately in packs of 10 (LFCCAP) if the original cap blocks or is lost.

Frequently Asked
What surfaces does this bond to?
The silicone adhesive bonds to aluminium LED profiles, plasterboard, painted surfaces, timber and most plastics. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol before application to remove dust and grease for best adhesion.
How long does it take to cure?
The silicone sets within 24 hours at room temperature. Avoid disturbing the bond during this period. Full waterproof performance develops after curing completes.
Can it be used to seal cut strip ends?
Yes. Apply a small bead around the cut end of LED strip to seal the exposed copper contacts and prevent moisture ingress in bathroom or outdoor installations. This is particularly important for maintaining IP ratings.
How much strip does one tube cover?
The 10ml tube provides approximately 2-3 metres of bonding depending on bead thickness, or can seal multiple cut strip ends. For larger installations, multiple tubes may be needed.
