Description

The Knightsbridge LWB165 is a 165W LED low bay light delivering 23,220 lumens at 5500K daylight white through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting measures 630mm x 325mm with a 53mm low-profile depth, and is built from pressed steel housing with a white powder-coated finish. An integrated 0-10V dimmable driver allows output adjustment when paired with a compatible 0-10V dimmer control.

Designed for warehouses, workshops, retail stockrooms and industrial spaces with ceiling heights between 4-8 metres, the low bay provides broad 85-degree beam coverage across aisles and work zones. The fitting comes with two suspension hooks and two 1-metre chains as standard, allowing ceiling-mounted installation on exposed joists or concrete soffits. Surface-mount brackets, PIR sensors and microwave sensors are available separately for installations requiring direct ceiling fixing or occupancy control.

The 159.9lm/W efficacy and 50,000-hour L70B50 rating (the point at which 50% of a batch will have degraded to 70% of initial output) keep running costs and maintenance cycles low in high-use commercial environments. The 5500K colour temperature gives a cool, neutral daylight quality suited to tasks requiring colour accuracy and visual alertness. The Class I electrical rating requires earthing during installation, and the IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

Knightsbridge backs the LWB165 with a 5-year warranty covering LED module and driver failure under normal operating conditions. The CRI >80 rating provides adequate colour rendering for most commercial and light-industrial applications, though photography studios and colour-critical work may require higher CRI fittings.

What ceiling height is this suitable for?

Low bay fittings are designed for ceiling heights between 4 and 8 metres. Below 4m the light may be too intense; above 8m a high bay fitting with narrower beam control would be more appropriate. The 85-degree beam angle provides good horizontal spread at these mounting heights.

Is this dimmable with a standard dimmer switch?

No. The LWB165 requires a 0-10V dimmer controller, not a standard trailing-edge or leading-edge wall dimmer. The 0-10V protocol is common in commercial lighting installations and allows smooth dimming down to approximately 10% output.

What's included in the box?

The fitting comes with two suspension hooks and two 1-metre steel chains for ceiling mounting. Surface-mount brackets, PIR sensors and microwave occupancy sensors are sold separately and need to be ordered if required.

Can it be used in damp or outdoor locations?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor use only. It is not protected against moisture ingress and should not be installed in damp warehouses, outdoor canopies or wash-down areas.
