Description
The Knightsbridge 90mm bi-metal holesaw features a 90mm outer diameter cutting edge with 4/6 TPI variable bi-metal teeth, providing a 38mm maximum cutting depth. The variable tooth pitch alternates between coarse and fine teeth around the cutting edge, reducing vibration and extending blade life when cutting through dense materials like stainless steel or hardwood flooring.
Designed for installing downlights, exhaust fans, ducting and electrical back boxes, the 90mm diameter suits products requiring a 90mm cut-out, including several Knightsbridge LED downlight models (LEDM08, MD03 series, ME04 series, SK005, SK006). The holesaw requires arbor HSARBORL (sold separately) to mount onto a drill chuck. The bi-metal construction combines a high-speed steel cutting edge welded onto a spring steel body, allowing the saw to flex under load without cracking when cutting metal or hitting knots in timber.
The 38mm cutting depth handles standard plasterboard-and-stud walls, solid timber joists up to 38mm thick, plywood sheeting and metal panels within the depth limit. The yellow powder-coated finish resists corrosion and makes the saw visible in toolboxes. Suitable materials include mild steel, stainless steel, die-cast aluminium and zinc alloys, hardwood and engineered timber floors, plywood and ABS or PVC plastics.

Frequently Asked
Does this holesaw include the arbor?
No. The arbor (mandrel) is sold separately. This holesaw requires Knightsbridge arbor HSARBORL to mount onto a drill chuck.
What materials can it cut?
The bi-metal construction cuts mild steel, stainless steel, die-cast metals (aluminium, zinc alloys), hardwood and engineered timber flooring, plywood and plastics including ABS and PVC. Maximum cutting depth is 38mm.
What TPI does it have?
The holesaw uses 4/6 TPI variable teeth, meaning the tooth pitch alternates between 4 teeth per inch and 6 teeth per inch around the cutting edge. This reduces vibration and heat build-up when cutting dense materials.
Which Knightsbridge downlights need a 90mm cut-out?
This 90mm holesaw suits Knightsbridge models LEDM08, MD03B, MD03W, MD03C, ME04B, ME04C, ME04W, SK005 and SK006. Check the product specification sheet for the exact cut-out diameter before drilling.
