Description

The Knightsbridge quarter blanking module is a 12.5 x 50mm white ABS insert designed to fill unused positions in modular grid faceplates. Supplied in a pack of 10, each module clips into a single quarter-width slot on a standard modular grid frame, covering the aperture behind and maintaining a flush finish across the faceplate.

Used in residential and commercial installations where a grid faceplate has been fitted with more module positions than currently needed, the blanking modules prevent dust ingress, maintain the IP20 rating of the faceplate, and provide a clean finish while leaving the option to add functional modules later. Each module sits level with adjacent switches, sockets or data modules once clipped into the grid frame.

The white ABS construction matches standard white modular grid systems from Knightsbridge and other manufacturers using the same 12.5mm quarter-width module standard. The modules require no tools to fit — they push into the grid frame apertures and are held by friction clips moulded into the sides of each module. The 10-pack format suits multi-room installations or projects where several faceplates need blanking positions filled.

Frequently Asked

What grid systems are these compatible with?

These quarter-width modules fit standard modular grid frames that use the 12.5mm quarter-module sizing convention. This includes Knightsbridge modular grid faceplates and most other UK manufacturers using the same module width standard.

How are the modules fitted?

Each module pushes into the grid frame aperture from the front and is held in place by friction clips moulded into the sides. No tools or screws are needed. The module can be removed by pushing it out from behind the faceplate if the grid needs reconfiguring later.

Can functional modules be added later?

Yes. Blanking modules are designed as temporary fillers. When you need to add a switch, socket or data module to the position, the blanking module is removed and replaced with the functional module.

What does the IP20 rating mean?

IP20 means the module provides protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm (such as fingers) but no protection against water ingress. This is the standard rating for dry indoor electrical accessories and is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.
