The Kara is a 555mm-tall table lamp built around a spherical dark green blown glass base topped with an aged brass collar and a 355mm-diameter off-white faux silk drum shade. The glass base is hand-blown, giving each piece slight variation in wall thickness and tonal depth where the green glass gathers at the curves. The aged brass fitting sits between the glass and the shade, providing a warm metallic accent that contrasts with the cool green below.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and side tables in living rooms or hallways, the Kara works in spaces where both ambient light and decorative presence matter. The 355mm shade diameter means the lamp needs at least 400mm of clear table width to sit comfortably without overhanging the edge. The faux silk shade is handmade in the UK and diffuses light evenly across the fabric, softening the output from the single E27 bulb inside.

The dark green glass reads almost teal under daylight and deepens to a richer emerald-green when backlit by the bulb in evening use. The blown glass construction gives the base a smooth, glossy surface with no visible seams, and the weight of the glass (approximately 2-3kg) provides stability on the table without needing a weighted internal mechanism.
