Description
The ESP IP 5.8GHz wireless bridge is a point-to-point network extender designed to bridge IP camera networks, data connections and internet access across sites where cable runs are impractical. Operating on the 5.8GHz band, the bridge creates a dedicated wireless link between two locations, allowing networked devices at the remote site to communicate as if they were on the same wired LAN.
Designed for outdoor and indoor installation across commercial, industrial and residential sites, the bridge is used to connect detached buildings, extend CCTV networks to outbuildings, link remote offices, or provide network access to areas where trenching for fibre or copper is cost-prohibitive. The white weatherproof housing mounts to walls, poles or masts, and the integrated directional antenna focuses the 5.8GHz signal towards the paired bridge at the opposite site.
Range depends on line-of-sight conditions, antenna alignment and environmental interference. In clear line-of-sight with minimal obstructions, the bridge can achieve connections across several kilometres. Each installation requires two bridge units — one configured as the access point and one as the client — paired during setup. The 250mm width and 120mm height give the unit a low profile when wall-mounted, and the 0.243kg weight allows mounting to timber, brick or metalwork without reinforcement.

Frequently Asked
What range can the bridge achieve?
Range depends on line-of-sight conditions, mounting height, antenna alignment and environmental interference. In clear line-of-sight with minimal obstructions, the bridge can connect across several kilometres. Refer to the Product Specification Sheet in the Downloads tab for throughput and range data.
How many bridge units are needed?
Each link requires two units — one configured as the access point and one as the client. If you need to connect three or more sites, a different network topology or additional bridge pairs may be required.
Can it be used indoors?
Yes. The white weatherproof housing is designed for outdoor mounting but can be installed indoors where a point-to-point wireless link is needed across a warehouse, factory floor or campus building.
What power supply does it need?
Check the Product Specification Sheet and Product Manual in the Downloads tab for power input requirements, PoE compatibility and installation instructions.
