Description

The Inina is a 64cm diameter crystal chandelier with seven E14 bulb positions arranged around a polished chrome frame, supporting cascading tiers of faceted crystal prisms and cone-shaped crystal droplets. Each tier is strung with octagonal cut crystal beads and terminates in conical crystal pendants, creating a layered profile that spans approximately 1 metre from ceiling rose to the lowest droplet when fitted at minimum drop.

Designed for dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, entrance halls and double-height stairwells, the Inina provides ambient and decorative light through refraction rather than direct beam. The seven E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit within the upper structure of the chandelier, directing light through and onto the crystal layers below. Dimmable bulbs allow the chandelier to shift from bright functional light during meals to softer background illumination in the evening. The 1000-2000mm adjustable drop is set during installation by shortening the chain length to suit ceiling height.

The polished chrome frame reflects light back through the crystal layers and picks up ceiling and wall colours, integrating the chandelier into the room rather than isolating it as a standalone object. The crystal droplets are faceted on multiple planes, so they catch and throw light in different directions depending on viewing angle and bulb position. At 13.9kg the chandelier requires a ceiling fixing point rated to carry at least 20kg, typically a structural joist or reinforced plasterboard fixing. The polished chrome finish pairs with both traditional and contemporary interiors, particularly where there are existing chrome, stainless steel or glass finishes in the room.

The chandelier takes seven E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers choose warm white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to provide ambient light without excessive heat build-up within the crystal structure.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the lighting circuit. The chandelier itself has no dimming electronics — dimmability depends entirely on the bulbs chosen and the wall switch controlling the circuit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1000mm minimum drop means the chandelier sits 1 metre below the ceiling rose when fitted at its shortest length. In a room with a 2.4m ceiling this would leave only 1.4m clearance beneath the chandelier, which is low for a dining table. Ceiling heights of 2.7m or above are recommended. For higher ceilings the chain can be extended to the 2000mm maximum drop during installation.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Faceted crystal accumulates dust in the cut edges. Wipe each droplet and bead individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing water to run into the metal fixings. Do not use household glass cleaners or sprays — many contain chemicals that can cloud or damage crystal coatings.
