Description

The Illuma Large Pebble is a low-profile alabaster table lamp shaped like a smoothed river stone, cut from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster. It measures 280mm in diameter and 175mm tall, with a single G9 lamp socket housed inside the stone. The soft white finish lets the alabaster's natural grey and cream veining read clearly across the surface, both when the lamp is unlit and when it glows from within.

The wide, grounded silhouette suits surfaces where a tall lamp would feel intrusive: bedside tables, low consoles, open shelving, and the corners of larger sideboards. With the G9 bulb lit (sold separately), light passes through the alabaster itself rather than projecting outwards, producing a contained ambient glow rather than directional task light. This makes the Illuma a secondary light source for evening use alongside overhead or floor lighting.

Each pebble is cut from a different section of stone, so the mineral veining, translucency and tonal depth differ between individual pieces. The stone is substantial enough to sit stably on its own without a separate base, and the cable exits discreetly from the rear. The pebble form pairs with muted, natural-toned interiors and complements other stone, plaster and matt-finished materials without competing for attention.

The lamp uses a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED G9 between 2.5-4W and 2700K-3000K to bring out the cream and grey tones in the alabaster.

No. Each pebble is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, translucency and tonal variation differ between pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

Is the Illuma a primary light source?

It works best as a secondary, ambient source rather than a primary or task light. Light passes through the alabaster to create a contained glow, so the Illuma pairs well with overhead, wall or floor lighting that handles the main illumination of a room.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
