Description

The Ibis is a 35cm diameter chandelier built around three E14 bulb positions, a polished chrome canopy and mounting frame, cascading cut crystal droplets, and a black feather drum shade that wraps the light source. The feathers are hand-applied to a fabric backing, creating a textured cylinder that diffuses outward light while the crystal droplets reflect downward light beneath the shade.

Designed for dining tables, bedroom centrepieces and hallway features where a compact chandelier adds decorative weight without dominating the ceiling, the Ibis works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upward. The drop is adjustable between 430mm minimum and 1930mm maximum on installation, allowing the fitting to be raised close to the ceiling in lower rooms or suspended deeper in double-height spaces. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the cable run within the adjustable chain.

The black feathers absorb direct light from the three E14 bulbs (sold separately, max 60W each) while scattering softer ambient light through the gaps between individual feathers. Beneath the drum, the crystal droplets catch and refract light, casting small prisms onto nearby surfaces when the fitting is switched on. The contrast between the matte black feathers and the high-gloss chrome and crystal gives the Ibis a dual character — theatrical and restrained at the same time. The feather shade is not removable for cleaning; dust gently with a soft brush or low-power vacuum attachment.

The fitting weighs 4.14kg and requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or appropriate ceiling anchor.
