Description

A broad, shallow round fitting with a warm wood effect face, closer in feel to a piece of furniture than to hardware. Light comes from an integrated LED array rated at 80W, putting out around 3500 lumens over a wide spread, and the supplied remote controls both brightness and colour temperature, so it can sit warm and low in the evening and shift to a cool, working white when the room needs to be properly lit. At 63cm across, it is among the larger flat round fittings we stock.

This is the sort of light we would fit where one fixture has to do the whole job: a big living room, an open plan kitchen and dining space, a wide bedroom or a long landing. Because the body is shallow and sits tight against the ceiling, it works in rooms where a hanging pendant would be in the way or would simply feel too heavy. It suits anyone who wants no wiring changes to get dimming, since the remote does that work rather than a dimmer switch, and it is a sensible choice for households where the same room is used for homework in the afternoon and television in the evening.

The housing is slim and round with the wood effect running across the visible face, and the driver and remote are both supplied. Keep it looking right by turning the power off, dusting the face with a dry microfibre and leaving sprays and damp cloths well away from the diffuser. It carries a three year warranty. The same round shape is also offered in black and in white, there is a smaller size in the range for narrower rooms, and if you want air movement as well as light, the range includes a version with a built-in reversible fan. The LED is built in, so there is nothing to buy alongside it.
