Description

The Hilton is a 530mm table lamp base built around three taupe-stained wood legs arranged in a triangular tripod, capped with polished nickel collars and a central polished nickel column. The E27 lampholder sits at the top of the column, designed to accept a separate shade (sold separately). Without a shade attached, the base presents as a sculptural object with visible wood grain on each leg and the structural precision of the nickel metalwork.

Designed for bedside tables, living room side tables and home office desks where users want to specify their own shade to match existing soft furnishings or to change the character of the lamp seasonally. The 220mm diameter footprint keeps the base stable without taking up excessive surface area on compact bedside units or narrow console tables. The lamp accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 20W (sold separately), with dimmability dependent on the bulb chosen and the presence of a compatible dimmer on the circuit.

The taupe wood finish is a mid-tone brown with a subtle grey undertone, compatible with both warm and cool interior palettes. The polished nickel provides a reflective metallic contrast without the warmth of brass or the industrial coldness of matt black. The combination of natural wood and polished metal gives the base enough visual interest to function as a decorative object when the lamp is off, while remaining neutral enough to support bold or patterned shades once added.

Does this include a shade?

No. The Hilton is sold as a base only. You will need to purchase a separate lampshade with an E27 fitting ring to complete the lamp. This allows you to choose a shade that matches your existing furnishings or to change the shade later without replacing the entire lamp.

What size shade does it take?

The E27 lampholder is standard UK thread, so any E27-compatible shade will fit. The 530mm height and 220mm base diameter work best with drum or tapered shades between 250-350mm diameter. Larger shades may visually overpower the base; smaller shades may look unbalanced.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you pair it with a dimmable E27 bulb and install a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The base itself has no integrated dimming control — dimming is controlled by the bulb type and the wall switch or plug dimmer you connect it to.

What bulb does it take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient table lighting.
