Description
The HDview IP 8MP bullet camera records at 3840 x 2160 resolution through a 2.8mm fixed lens, delivering a 115° diagonal field of view suitable for wide-area coverage of driveways, front doors, and building perimeters. The camera uses a 1/2.8" image sensor and supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) for single-cable installation, with the option to record to a 128GB microSD card for local backup.
Designed for outdoor security installations, the IP67-rated housing protects the camera from rain, dust and temperature extremes. Dual illumination switches between infrared and white LED depending on ambient light conditions, extending night vision to 30m in total darkness while allowing colour capture when triggered by motion. The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way audio through compatible NVR systems or mobile apps.
The white housing blends with lighter-coloured walls and fascias, reducing visual prominence compared to traditional black CCTV housings. The 2.8mm lens suits applications where a wide viewing angle is more important than tight zoom on distant subjects — entrances, car parks, garden perimeters and retail forecourts rather than number plate capture or facial recognition at range. The camera mounts to standard junction boxes or directly to masonry using the included bracket.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between IR and white LED illumination?
The camera switches between infrared (for monochrome night vision in total darkness) and white LED (for colour capture when motion is detected). The dual illumination extends the effective range to 30m at night while preserving colour detail where possible.
Does it support two-way audio?
Yes. The built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way audio communication through compatible NVR systems or mobile apps. This requires network configuration and may not be supported by all recording devices.
Can it record locally without an NVR?
Yes. The camera supports up to 128GB microSD card for local recording. This functions as backup storage or standalone recording when no network video recorder is connected.
What viewing angle does the 2.8mm lens provide?
The 2.8mm fixed lens delivers a 115° diagonal field of view, suitable for wide-area coverage of driveways, entrances and building perimeters. It trades long-range detail for broader coverage compared to narrower lenses like 4mm or 6mm.
